Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Gardening Group
The Green Gardening Group helps students learn how to grow fruits and vegetables in an eco-friendly way while working as a team. Members harvest their produce and then cook what they pick, building skills in sustainability, nutrition, and healthy eating through hands-on experience.
PSSA Gala Day
Hawkesbury PSSA provides students with exciting opportunities to compete, collaborate, and proudly represent their school in a variety of sports. These gala days promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and skill development while giving students the chance to participate in friendly competition, build confidence, and connect with peers from other schools.
Chess
Chess Club runs regularly and gives students ongoing opportunities to develop strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Students can also attend workshops throughout the year and represent the school in PSSA team and individual competitions.
Creative and performing arts
Our dance programs are carefully choreographed by experienced dance teachers, ensuring that each routine is engaging and skill-appropriate. Students from Years 1 to 6 have the opportunity to participate, developing confidence, coordination, and a love for movement from an early age. Alongside dance, our music and art programs provide a rich environment for creativity and self-expression, allowing students to explore different forms of artistic expression and refine their talents.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn, and try new things, with every stage participating in meaningful excursions each year. These experiences include visits such as the Zoo for Kindergarten and a Stage 3 camp, giving students opportunities to grow, build confidence, and see how their learning connects to the real world.
